Americans for Prosperity Action Florida Endorses 10 Additional Candidates Ahead of General Election 

Statewide, FL—Today, Americans for Prosperity Action Florida (AFP Action FL) announced a new wave of endorsements for the general election, making strategic plays for strengthening Florida’s legislature next year.  

Leading up to the primaries this election cycle, AFP Action FL made 29 endorsements and saw 11 candidates facing primaries win their race. As AFP Action FL moves into the general election, key policy champions will receive the organization’s grassroots, digital, and advertising support.

This round of endorsements led to candidates who are aligned on keeping Florida free and a prosperous place to live. Endorsed Candidates 

Chad Johnson (HD-22) 

As a former county commissioner, Chad has the experience needed to lead House District 22 well. He has strong fiscal conservative values, demonstrating his commitment to providing tax relief and balancing the budget. He is also expected to be a voice for expanded education opportunities, supporting more career training and giving power to parents.   

Bill Partington (HD-28)  

With principled views on taxes, education, and health care, Bill Partington is the best choice for House District 28. Bill will bring his experience as mayor to the position, leaning on his background fighting tix increases and supporting parental rights in expanded education options.  

State Rep. Kevin Steele (HD-55) 

As a freshman, Rep. Steele has been instrumental in top issue areas from health care, independent contractor rights, to education and more. As a health care business owner, Rep. Steele understands the value of competition and choice in the market and will continue to be a voice for fiscal conservative policies and economic reforms.  

State Rep. Adam Anderson (HD-57) 

Notably, Rep. Anderson has sponsored bills to strengthen health care by allowing nonprofit agricultural organizations to provide coverage to members. He is a needed voice in office to expand telehealth and work towards better labor and regulatory laws. 

State Rep. Linda Chaney (HD-61)  

Rep. Chaney understands that onerous labor regulations prevent growth in Florida’s economy and has stood firmly in her convictions. She is the best choice for House District 61 and will continue to support foundational education growth in the state. 

State Rep. Will Robinson (HD-71) 

When re-elected, Rep. Robinson will continue to use his position to expand telehealth, broaden the scope of practice, and support Certificate of Need (CoN) repeal. He is also a policy champion for creating more choice in educational opportunities. 

State Rep. Tiffany Esposito (HD-77) 

Rep. Esposito is the leader House District 77 needs to drive economic reforms. She is passionate about occupational licensing improvements and her belief that regulations hold Floridians back and cause labor shortages will make her an impactful leader in office. 

State Rep. Adam Botana (HD-80)   

Rep. Botana is a proven leader on regulations and foundational education, sponsoring key legislation to limit advisory bodies while also standing up for parents with expanded education freedom. His position as Chief Floor Whip demonstrates his ability to gather support needed to make legislative change.  

Meg Weinberger (HD-94)

Meg is the best choice for House District 94 as she is expected to support policies that put Florida’s workforce first while promoting transparency and accountability. In office, Meg will work to lower taxes and decrease regulation to improve our economy. She is also a strong leader on improving parents’ rights in their children’s education.

AFP Action KS Endorses Former State Senator and Attorney General Derek Schmidt to fill Rep. Jake LaTurner’s Seat

Derek Schmidt is a fifth generation Kansan and served as the 44th Attorney General for the State of Kansas. He also devoted 10 years as a Kansas State Senator, qualifying him for this next role.

As he argued cases before the Supreme Court, Schmidt advocated so that Kansas could enforce state laws when it came to matters of immigration. His expertise is needed to bring transparency, accountability, and due process in light of Biden’s border crisis.

Richard Gentry (HD-27)   

Gentry’s time serving as Florida Public Counsel and as Legislative Counsel to the Florida Homebuilders Association has positioned him to become an impactful voice in the House. He is a promising leader on energy and regulatory issues where he aims to address high energy costs and reduce regulatory burdens. 

Sam Greco (HD-19) 

Greco is a rising leader expected to work on top issues like cutting red tape regulations and expanding Florida’s Education Saving Account (ESA) program. In the House, Greco will also prioritize lowering barriers that make it more difficult for Florida businesses to thrive and addressing growing insurance costs.

“JJ” Grow (HD-23)   

Grow is a small business owner and advocates for deregulation and reducing taxes to keep Florida’s economy strong. He is a promising leader in education where he is expected to champion expanding learning opportunities at the K-12 and postsecondary levels.  

Jennifer Kincart Jonsson (HD-49)

In the House, Kincart Jonsson will support conservative values and prioritize transparency in government. She will prevent rate-setting agencies from ballooning housing insurance costs. She will prioritize securing our border and fighting inflation by cutting taxes. And, Kincart Jonsson will empower parents to be involved in their child’s education.

State Rep. Randall Scott “Randy” Maggard (HD-54)

Rep. Maggard is a proven policy leader driving reforms on key issues including education, health care, labor, and regulations. He is a needed voice in the House when it comes to expanding educational opportunities that support students’ individual learning needs. In addition, Rep. Maggard has stood behind efforts to reduce overburdensome building permitting regulations in order to lower housing costs in the state.

State Sen. Debbie Mayfield (HD-32)

Vanessa Oliver (HD-76)
