AFP Action KS: Schmidt Demonstrates Why He’s the Best Choice for District 2 During Washburn Forum

Topeka, KS – After tonight’s forum at Washburn University, Americans for Prosperity Action Kansas (AFPA-KS) is highlighting three key takeaways that demonstrate why Derek Schmidt is the best candidate for Congressional House District 02:

  • Schmidt will be strong on immigration and work to promote solutions that address the crisis at the southern border and restore confidence in our nation’s immigration system.
  • Inflation has cost Kansans $1,083 more a month since January 2021. In office, Schmidt can help address the cost-of-living crisis by supporting continued tax reform by extending the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act.
  • As the former Attorney General, Schmidt has fought in Washington before and won for Kansas; he is best positioned to do that again.

AFPA-KS Senior Advisor, Liz Patton, released the following statement:

“Kansas voters are enthusiastic to get to the polls and send Derek Schmidt to Washington. Tonight, his opponents showed they are more focused on political attacks rather than solving the biggest issues facing our state and nation. In office, we look forward to Derek ushering in economic growth to help Kansas thrive and bring the cost-of-living down for hardworking families while also tackling immigration. Derek is the fighter that we need in D.C. representing Kansas values and AFPA believes tonight he proved that to voters in the district.”

Since endorsing Schmidt for KS-02, AFPA-KS has utilized its grassroots base as well as digital campaigns and mail to educate voters on his record. Click here to read more.

AFP Action FL: Simon Bests Parks in Debate

Tallahassee, FL – After today’s debate between State Senator Corey Simon and Daryl Parks to represent District 3, Americans for Prosperity Action Florida (AFPA-FL) is highlighting the following key takeaways:

  • Daryl Parks does not have a real plan in place to deal with Florida’s necessary insurance reforms while Senator Simon has proven a pathway for Floridians by voting for key improvements to our marketplace.
  • Senator Simon has stood side-by-side with North Florida as we repair and recover from multiple storms and will continue to provide information on resources for those in need.
  • Senator Simon is working to keep Florida’s economy on track while Parks wants to raise taxes on families that are already hurting due to inflation.
  • While Daryl Parks is focused on partisan politics and dividing us, Senator Simon has worked across the aisle with Democrats and fellow Republicans to pass a balanced state budget that provides tax relief for all Floridians.

AFPA-FL Senior Advisor, Skylar Zander, released the following statement:

“Today, Senator Simon demonstrated his proven record of representing the needs of Tallahassee in the Legislature. He is a stronger choice with a clear vision for Florida unlike Daryl Parks who does not offer serious solutions to our greatest challenges. Senator Simon has the experience needed to continue to reform our insurance market, keep our economy growing, and usher in restoration after a difficult storm season. We need Senator Simon in office to continue defending North Florida values and we celebrate his debate victory today.”

AFPA-KS Senior Advisor, Liz Patton, made the following statement:

“Derek’s long record of public service demonstrates his ability to protect the interests of Kansans in Washington, while also being a needed fighter to take on top issues for voters like the economy and border security. His record from 2022 of working alongside Attorneys General in Texas to call for a secure southern border and upholding immigration laws is the leadership we need under Biden’s border crisis.
