Harrisburg, Pennsylvania—Americans for Prosperity Action (AFP Action) today threw its support behind State Representative Rob Mercuri (LD-28) and State Representative Ryan Mackenzie (LD-187) in their bid to flip two seats in the U.S. House of Representatives.

AFP Action senior advisor for Pennsylvania, Ashley Klingensmith gave the following after the announcement:

“Rob and Ryan have been reliable voices in Harrisburg, championing the policy solutions to our most pressing issues. It’s time for them to take those solutions to the next level and give Pennsylvanians the principled representation they sorely need in Washington. We’re excited to back these two outstanding candidates to ensure that Pennsylvanians in greater Pittsburgh and the greater Lehigh Valley have quality choices in next year’s general election.”

Nathan Nascimento, AFP Action Director issued the following statement:

“Earlier this year, AFP Action promised to get involved in more primaries and more races than ever before, because our nation is at a crossroads and we need to elect strong candidates to get our country back on track.

“Between backing Mackenzie and Mercuri in their primary elections, and throwing our support behind Dave McCormick for Senate, AFP Action is ensuring the Keystone State has the best possible choices next November.”

To date this year, Americans for Prosperity (AFP) has already reached out to over 4.3 million potential Republican primary voters in key battleground states to understand what issues matter most to them and what they are looking for in candidates for state and federal office next year. AFP-Action will acquire this data to bring new voters into the primary process.
