Americans for Prosperity Action Announces Endorsements in Key Northeastern Congressional Races

Arlington, VA – Americans for Prosperity Action (AFP Action) announced today its endorsement of two candidates in key races for the U.S. House of Representatives.

AFP Action will support Alison Esposito (NY-18) and George Logan (CT-05) for the general election on November 5, 2024. This historic engagement is the first time AFP Action will engage in the states of Connecticut and New York.

This effort comes just one month after AFP Action marked its first major engagement in California. As part of its largest election effort to date, AFP Action will launch mail and digital ad campaigns, as well as its state-of-the-art grassroots efforts, in support of these candidates. AFP Action is committed to engaging Americans across the country to elect more policy champions than ever before.

AFP Action Senior Advisor Ross Connolly issued the following statement:

George Logan (CT-05)

George Logan is a promised policy partner. As a former state assemblyman, he played a key role in efforts to cut taxes and simplify the tax code in Connecticut. He promises to cut federal spending and put an end to radical policies coming out of Washington. When elected, he will work hard to secure our southern border to protect Americans, and prioritize policies that strengthen our economy.

Alison Esposito (NY-18)

Alison Esposito is a former NYPD officer and is ready to work hard to keep Americans safe. She promises to champion economic reforms and advocate against overburdensome regulations to get our economy back on track. Esposito is a fresh voice and a proven leader that will work tirelessly to protect Americans, secure our borders, and stand up for policies that make the American dream attainable for all.

AFP Action Endorses Joe McGraw in IL-17

PEORIA, IL —Americans for Prosperity Action (AFP Action) today endorsed Joe McGraw in his bid to challenge incumbent Democrat Eric Sorensen in Illinois’ 17th Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives.

AFP Action announced last year the organization would be engaging earlier and in more elections than ever before. Today’s endorsements put that promise into action.

AFP Action Senior Advisor Jason Heffley released the following statement:

“Rep. Eric Sorensen has failed to deliver for Illinois – it’s time to turn the page and usher in new leaders like Joe McGraw in Congress. Today, AFP Action is proud to endorse McGraw in his bid to represent Illinois’ 17th Congressional District.

“Illinois is facing some of the nation’s highest inflation and gas prices, and Eric Sorensen has failed to bring down the cost of living for his district. AFP Action Congratulates Ryan Mackenzie on Primary Victory

Lehigh, Pennsylvania—Americans for Prosperity Action congratulated State Rep. Ryan Mackenzie (LD-187) for winning the Republican nomination in Tuesday’s Pennsylvania Primary. He will go on to face Rep. Susan Wild in November’s general election.

AFP Action Throws Support to Brad Knott in NC Runoff

Raleigh, North Carolina—Americans for Prosperity Action (AFP-Action) today announced its support for Brad Knott in the runoff election for North Carolina’s 13^th congressional district.

The native North Carolinian earned AFP-Action’s support for a policy platform that promises to create more opportunity and economic mobility for the Tarheel State.

AFP Action Endorses Rob Bresnahan’s Bid to Unseat Rep. Matt Cartwright

Scranton, Pennsylvania—Americans for Prosperity Action (AFP Action) today announced its support for Rob Bresnahan’s bid to represent Pennsylvania’s 8^th Congressional District in Congress.

Owner of a local construction business, Bresnahan is prepared to advocate for policies that make it easier to start and grow businesses in the Keystone State, including cutting unnecessary red tape, keeping taxes low, unleashing domestic energy, and ending wasteful government spending that drives up inflation.

This is the fourth endorsement the grassroots super PAC has made in Pennsylvania for the 2024 election cycle. In 2023, AFP Action endorsed Pennsylvania State Reps. Ryan Mackenzie and Rob Mercuri for U.S. House and businessman Dave McCormick for U.S. Senate.

Representative David Schweikert and Arizona Speaker of the House Ben Toma Earn early support from Grassroots Super PAC

Phoenix, Arizona—Americans for Prosperity Action (AFP Action) today endorsed Arizona Speaker of the House Ben Toma (HD-27) and Representative David Schweikert (AZ-01) for U.S. House of Representatives.

The endorsements come as AFP Action prepares for a record-breaking 2024 election with the promise to engage earlier and more often—especially in primaries.

To that end, AFP Action endorsed Arizona Speaker of the House Ben Toma to run for Arizona’s eighth congressional district, which will be left open by Representative Debbie Lesko, who will retire at the end of the 118^th Congress.

In Arizona’s first district, AFP Action backed incumbent Representative David Schweikert, a reliable fiscal conservative dedicated to getting the national debt under control and cutting government spending.
