AFP Action-Alaska Endorses Six State House Candidates

JUNEAU, AK – Americans for Prosperity Action-Alaska (AFP Action-Alaska) announced its endorsement of six candidates for the state House of Representatives – including three non-incumbents – ahead of the midterm on November third.

Kevin Greene, AFP Action-Alaska senior advisor, gave the following statement: 

“AFP Action-Alaska and our statewide network of grassroots activists are excited to support these outstanding leaders for the state House. These endorsements are part of our ongoing vision to reshape our legislature into the nation’s most effective and principled governing body. We’re counting on them to get government out of the way so our state’s economy can flourish and hardworking Alaskans can achieve their American Dream.” 

AFP Action-Alaska endorses the following candidates: 

State Rep. Sarah Vance (HD-06): Sarah Vance is a leader on energy policy in Juneau, where she cosponsored a bill banning restrictive regulations over new projects and supported the construction of a new natural gas pipeline. She has a strong voting record on improving Alaska’s health care system, including her cosponsorship of legislation to repeal the state’s certificate of need laws. 

John Boyle (HD-09): As the former Commissioner of the Alaska Department of Natural Resources, John Boyle will be a valuable voice on energy issues in the capital from day one, where he will work to expand and smartly deregulate the industry. He also serves as an executive at a tech start-up, giving him a forward-thinking perspective on innovative technologies that will bring new jobs and investment to Alaska. 

State Rep. Julie Coulombe (HD-11): Coulombe is a proven policy leader on labor, who has led efforts to reduce licensing requirements for child care providers. She has supported numerous bills to eliminate burdensome taxes and grow Alaska’s energy sector to bolster America’s energy independence.

State Rep. Mia Costello (HD-15): Costello is a steadfast advocate for the construction of a new natural gas pipeline and other key energy projects. She is a fiscal conservative who will always support budgets that ensure that Alaska spends within its means. 

Daniel Sager (HD-18): Sager is ready to tackle labor issues on day one in the legislature. He is a strong supporter of deregulation of the energy and resource extraction industries to unlock Alaska’s full economic potential. 

Harmony Tomaszewski (HD-34): Tomaszewski is a hardworking AFP Action-Alaska activist who is strongly in favor of building new liquid natural gas pipelines in the state. She carries an “all-of-the-above” approach to different kinds of projects to maximize Alaska’s energy production and job growth. 

Americans for Prosperity Action Congratulates Sen. Sullivan for Strong Primary Finish

Americans for Prosperity Action Announces First Ad Buy Backing Husted for U.S. Senate

COLUMBUS, OH – As first reported in POLITICO Playbook this morning, Americans for Prosperity Action launched a new ad in support of Senator Jon Husted for his reelection. The ad will air on digital and streaming platforms across the state. 

The initial $500,000 ad buy follows AFP Action’s endorsement and rollout of voter engagement efforts in support of Sen. Husted in March.
