• Elissa Slotkin voted against H.R. 2 the “Secure the Border” Act of 2023.
• As a freshman Congresswoman, Slotkin voted to terminate an emergency declaration that would have enabled the construction of a border wall on the U.S.-Mexico border.
• She dismissed the effort to strengthen the nation’s border security as merely ‘political action on the part of the President.’

On the other, Mike Rogers has always taken border security seriously and understands why border security is critical to keeping Michigan safe.”
