Philadelphia, Pennsylvania – After Dave McCormick handily defeated Bob Casey Jr. in the second Pennsylvania Senate Debate, AFP Action Senior Advisor Emily Greene released the following statement:

However, a closer look at Casey’s voting record shows that he was the tie-breaking vote for the Biden-Harris Administration’s inflationary spending policies.

“Bob Casey voted for the so-called Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), the American Rescue Plan, and the CHIPS Act. When he voted for trillions in spending, he voted to overheat the economy. Inflation is simply the invisible tax all Americans have been paying on the Biden-Harris economic agenda.

“The least he could do is admit he voted for it, instead of blaming businesses. Fortunately, Dave McCormick understands the need for fiscal responsibility and he will vote to keep the federal government living within its means. 1. Mike Rogers is not a rubber stamp. He’s ready and willing to push back against the worst instincts of progressive Democrats and he will fight for Michigan families and businesses.

• Elissa Slotkin can claim that she’s a “fiscal conservative” but her voting record tells a very different story.

• Unlike Elissa Slotkin, Mike Rogers will vote to secure the border and reduce the importation of fentanyl into our country. Despite having every opportunity, Slotkin voted against border security measures that would end the chaos at our southern border.

• Even when it comes to issues fundamental to Michigan’s economy, Slotkin votes with her party, not her people. She voted against fellow Michigander John James’ bill to roll back the Biden-Harris Administration’s electric vehicle mandate, even though a ban on gas-powered cars will be catastrophic for Michigan automakers.
