AFP Action Releases Statement Ahead of Michigan Democrat Senate Debate

Lansing, MI — Ahead of tonight’s Michigan Democrat Senate debate, Americans for Prosperity Action (AFP Action) Senior Advisor for Michigan Tim Golding released the following statement:

“Tonight’s debate will offer Michigan voters a clear window into how Democrats think about the problems facing this state: more Washington, more government control, and more of the same policies that drove up costs in the first place. Haley Stevens and Abdul El-Sayed may disagree on tactics, but they share the same fundamental belief — that the answer to Washington’s failures is more Washington.

“Michigan families know better: the cost of living didn’t spike because government wasn’t involved enough in their lives. It spiked because of runaway spending, burdensome regulations, and energy policies that made everything more expensive.

“Mike Rogers is running on a different vision for Michigan, one built on lower taxes, less spending, unleashing American energy, and cutting regulations that strangle small businesses. That’s how you put money back in people’s pockets and create the kind of economic opportunity this state has been waiting for.”

“Tonight, voters will watch two candidates argue over how much bigger to make government. Rogers is focused on getting Washington out of the way and letting Michigan thrive.”

ICYMI: AFP Action and LIBRE Action Join Congressman Evans for Door-Knocking Event in Fort Lupton

FORT LUPTON, CO — On Saturday, AFP Action and LIBRE Action joined Congressman Gabe Evans for a canvassing event connecting directly with voters in Fort Lupton to discuss the issues that matter most to Colorado families.

Over the weekend, Coloradans in the 8th congressional district engaged directly with Congressman Evans about the policies impacting their families, businesses, and future prosperity. Evans met constituents at their doorsteps, listening to their concerns and discussing solutions to strengthen economic opportunity, lower costs, and tackle the cost-of-living crisis.

Brittany Trujillo, AFP Action Senior Advisor, issued the following statement:

“Fort Lupton families deserve leaders who show up, listen, and fight for the policies that will help them succeed. Congressman Gabe Evans continues to engage directly with constituents and hear firsthand about the challenges they’re facing. AFP Action is proud to help connect voters with leaders who are advancing solutions that expand opportunities and empower Colorado families.”

Angel Merlos, Senior Advisor for LIBRE Action issued the following statement: “LIBRE Action has long fought to ensure Hispanic families have a seat at the table on the economic policies shaping their lives. Congressman Evans has a record of fighting for an economy where those families and their businesses can thrive and that’s exactly why we stand behind him. Events in the community like this one make sure their voices are driving the work he’s taking back to Washington.”

Congressman Gabe Evans is a Colorado native and veteran of the U.S. Army, Army National Guard and Arvada Police Department and has dedicated his life to protecting conservative values and freedom at home and abroad. In Congress, he has championed fiscal restraint and helped prevent the largest tax increase in U.S. history.

AFP Action and LIBRE Action have worked to build strong grassroots efforts in Fort Lupton and across Colorado. In a community with a majority of Hispanic families, LIBRE Action has focused on highlighting the issues voters care most about: the economy.

As organizations committed to advancing policies that expand opportunity and economic freedom, AFP Action and LIBRE Action will continue working in communities across Colorado to elevate constituent voices and connect voters with leaders who are championing solutions that help families succeed. om, AFP Action and LIBRE Action will continue working in communities across Colorado to elevate constituent voices and connect voters with leaders who are championing solutions that help families succeed.

ICYMI: AFP Action, LIBRE Action, & CVA Action in OH Turn Out Massive Grassroots Support for Jon Husted

COLUMBUS, OH – Last weekend, Americans for Prosperity Action (AFP Action), The LIBRE Initiative Action (LIBRE Action), and Concerned Veterans for America Action (CVA Action) held a Day of Action to build momentum behind the campaign of U.S. Senate candidate Senator Jon Husted, part of a sweeping, coordinated grassroots push across key battleground states in the 2026 election cycle.

The Day of Action was a testament to the extraordinary grassroots energy behind Jon Husted’s campaign, with volunteers turning out in force to knock on thousands of doors across Ohio.

Nationwide, AFP Action’s grassroots volunteers surpassed one million doors knocked in key Senate races this cycle, a major milestone that reflects the scale of AFP Action’s on-the-ground efforts to engage voters and elevate critical issues ahead of November.

AFP Action Senior Advisor for Ohio Donovan O’Neil issued the following statement:

“The turnout we saw this weekend is proof that Ohioans are energized and ready for a new direction after years of policies that have made it harder for families to get ahead and left too many voters feeling unheard.

“Our volunteers engaged with Ohioans in communities across this state because they know Jon Husted will fight for economic opportunity, reduce barriers to growth, and bring a results-driven approach to the U.S. Senate. In contrast, Sherrod Brown has spent decades in Washington supporting policies that have contributed to higher costs and greater economic uncertainty for Ohio families.

“This grassroots support is only getting stronger. We are calling on Ohio voters to keep that momentum going and make sure their voices are heard at the ballot box in November.”

ICYMI: AFP Action in MI Crosses 300,000 Doors for Mike Rogers in Massive Day of Action Grassroots Push

PORTAGE, MI — This past weekend, Americans for Prosperity Action (AFP Action) held a Day of Action in Michigan to build momentum behind the Senate campaign of Mike Rogers, part of a sweeping, coordinated grassroots push across key battleground states in the 2026 election cycle.

The Day of Action marked a significant milestone for AFP Action, whose grassroots volunteers surpassed the one millionth door knocked in key Senate races this cycle, including over 300,000 doors knocked in Michigan alone on behalf of Rogers’ campaign. The landmark threshold represents a massive scale of early, in-person outreach during one of the most critical windows of the 2026 election.

In an interview with Fox News and surrounded by AFP Action volunteers, Mike Rogers highlighted the power of grassroots activism driving his campaign, the opportunity agenda at the heart of his platform, and the stark contrast between his vision for Michigan and the progressive record of higher costs and more regulation for Michiganders.

Watch the interview below:

AFP Action Senior Advisor for Michigan Tim Golding issued the following statement:

“Crossing 300,000 doors in Michigan is proof that voters across this state are hungry for real change after years of progressives delivering higher taxes, more regulations, and radical candidates who are completely out of step with Michigan families.

“In Michigan, AFP Action has made clear that Michigan voters deserve a senator who will fight to expand opportunity, cut through federal red tape, and reverse the damage done by Lansing’s radical left-wing agenda.

“Our volunteers carry the message that expanding opportunity and restoring economic freedom is what this election is about. Mike Rogers has shown he is the kind of candidate who can energize that grassroots energy and turn it into results in November. We are calling on Michigan voters to keep that momentum going and make sure their voices are heard at the ballot box.”
