AFP Action Backs former Congressman Mike Rogers for U.S. Senate

Lansing, Michigan—Today Americans for Prosperity Action (AFP Action) threw its support behind former Congressman Mike Rogers in his bid to serve as Michigan’s next Senator.

AFP Action endorsed Rogers for his commitment to lowering taxes, embracing energy abundance, and eliminating harmful regulations. If elected, Michiganders can look to him to oppose inflationary government spending and vote to secure the border that has been neglected by the current administration.

This endorsement rounds out AFP Action’s Senate “Firewall Strategy,” to prevent one-party progressive rule in Washington. 

After the announcement, AFP Action Senior Advisor Tim Golding issued the following statement:

“Michiganders are energized and motivated to send a policy champion like former Michigan Congressman Mike Rogers to the U.S. Senate. For years, Michigan’s Senators have prioritized special interests over the concerns of their constituents.

In addition to its 24/7 grassroots operation, AFP Action will support Rogers’ bid with its best-in-class data and digital capabilities, including an initial $1.7 million ad buy in the Great Lake State for the month of August.

Americans for Prosperity Action Announces Endorsements in Key Northeastern Congressional Races

This announcement is part of AFP Action’s historic 50-state expansion effort

Arlington, VA – Americans for Prosperity Action (AFP Action) announced today its endorsement of two candidates in key races for the U.S. House of Representatives.

 AFP Action will support Alison Esposito (NY-18) and George Logan (CT-05) for the general election on November 5, 2024. This historic engagement is the first time AFP Action will engage in the states of Connecticut and New York.

This effort comes just one month after AFP Action marked its first major engagement in California. As part of its largest election effort to date, AFP Action will launch mail and digital ad campaigns, as well as its state-of-the-art grassroots efforts, in support of these candidates. AFP Action is committed to engaging Americans across the country to elect more policy champions than ever before.

George Logan is a promised policy partner. As a former state assemblyman, he played a key role in efforts to cut taxes and simplify the tax code in Connecticut. He promises to cut federal spending and put an end to radical policies coming out of Washington. When elected, he will work hard to secure our southern border to protect Americans, and prioritize policies that strengthen our economy. 

Alison Esposito (NY-18)

Alison Esposito is a former NYPD officer and is ready to work hard to keep Americans safe. She promises to champion economic reforms and advocate against overburdensome regulations to get our economy back on track. Esposito is a fresh voice and a proven leader that will work tirelessly to protect Americans, secure our borders, and stand up for policies that make the American dream attainable for all.

Arlington, VA—This week, Americans for Prosperity Action (AFP Action) released a new set of ads supporting endorsed U.S. Senate candidates in Montana, Nevada, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin, and U.S. House endorsed candidates in Arizona, Iowa, Michigan, Ohio, and Pennsylvania.

First reported in Reuters, the $4 million ad buy calls out incumbent lawmakers, including Sen. Tammy Baldwin (D-WI), Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH), Sen. Bob Casey Jr. (D-PA), Sen. Jacky Rosen (D-NV), and Sen. Jon Tester (D-MT) for their roles in advancing President Biden’s radical spending agenda and enabling chaos at our southern border. 

AFP Action is holding these senators accountable for failing Americans and highlighting AFP Action’s endorsed candidates as principled policy leaders that will cut inflationary spending to reduce the national debt, and secure our southern border to keep Americans safe.

AFP Action KS Endorses Former State Senator and Attorney General Derek Schmidt to fill Rep. Jake LaTurner’s Seat

Topeka, KS—Americans for Prosperity Action-Kansas (AFPA-KS) is putting the weight of its grassroots base behind former State Senator and Attorney General Derek Schmidt to serve constituents of congressional district two in Washington.

AFPA-KS will launch digital and mail campaigns, as well as grassroots efforts, to educate Kansans on why Schmidt is the best candidate for the job and how he aligns with Kansas values.

AFPA-KS Senior Advisor, Liz Patton, made the following statement:

Derek Schmidt is a fifth generation Kansan and served as the 44th Attorney General for the State of Kansas. He also devoted 10 years as a Kansas State Senator, qualifying him for this next role.

As he argued cases before the Supreme Court, Schmidt advocated so that Kansas could enforce state laws when it came to matters of immigration. His expertise is needed to bring transparency, accountability, and due process in light of Biden’s border crisis.
