AFP Action Reaffirms Support for John Sununu

Concord, NH – Today, Americans for Prosperity Action (AFP Action) reaffirms its support for John Sununu as he officially files to run for U.S. Senate.

AFP Action Senior Advisor Sarah Scott released the following statement:

Higher costs, runaway spending, and a congressman who talked a big game back home while voting with Washington’s agenda. That is who Chris Pappas is, and Granite Staters are done with that playbook.

“John Sununu is a different kind of leader who offers steady leadership. He has spent his career delivering results for New Hampshire and understands that Granite Staters don’t need more partisan posturing, but real solutions to the rise in cost-of-living hitting family budgets. From reining in federal spending to strengthening the local economy, Sununu is focused on the work that actually matters to people back home. AFP Action is proud to support Sununu because Granite Staters deserve a senator who represents New Hampshire values, and this November, we intend to help make that happen.

AFP Action Applauds Young Kim on Advancing to the General Election

Anaheim, California – Americans for Prosperity Action (AFP Action) congratulated Young Kim on advancing to the general election in November for California’s 40th District. Leading up to the primary, AFP Action threw its support behind Kim, backing her candidacy with digital ads and mailers highlighting her record of delivering results to the challenges Californians face.

Heather Andrews, AFP Action Senior Advisor, issued the following statement:

Young Kim advancing to the November general election shows that she earned the trust of voters due to her proven record. She has fought for working families to ensure they keep more of their hard-earned money, pushed to expand domestic energy production, and championed commonsense reforms to make housing more affordable. This is exactly the kind of leader California needs in Congress. AFP Action is proud to stand behind Young Kim, and we look forward to continuing to support her leading up to the general election.

AFP Action Congratulates Ashley Hinson on Primary Election Victory

DES MOINES, IA — Americans for Prosperity Action (AFP Action) today congratulated Congresswoman Ashley Hinson on her victory in the Republican primary election to represent Iowa in the U.S. Senate.

After the win, AFP Action Senior Advisor Tyler Raygor released the following statement:

From the outset of this race, AFP Action was proud to support Hinson because of her consistent record of advancing policies that expand opportunity, limit government overreach and empower individuals and families to thrive.

“Hinson has demonstrated principled leadership and a clear commitment to fiscal responsibility, economic freedom and removing barriers that hold back hardworking Iowans. Her ability to build consensus and deliver results reflects the kind of leadership needed in Washington.

“As the campaign moves forward, we are confident Hinson will continue to champion policies that promote growth, innovation and prosperity for all Americans. AFP Action looks forward to supporting her in the general election and working alongside her to advance solutions that create a stronger future for Iowa and the country.”

AFP Action endorsed Hinson in early May, citing her track record of advocating for lower taxes, reduced regulatory burdens, and policies that support job creation and economic growth, as well as her commitment to accountability and limited government.

Today, AFP Action announced a $6.3 million ad blitz into 2026 Senate states, including Iowa. The campaign highlights the rising cost of living — groceries, gas, and everyday goods — and elevates Hinson’s pro-growth solutions to address the problem.

New AFP Action Ad Highlights How Roy Cooper’s Policies Would Make Life More Expensive for North Carolinians

RALEIGH, NC  – As first reported by Politico, Americans for Prosperity Action (AFP Action) today announced a $6.3 million ad buy in six U.S. Senate battleground states, including North Carolina. The ads focus on cost-of-living policies, including how Roy Cooper’s energy policies as governor would have cost the average North Carolina family $434 more in electricity costs a year. In contrast, Michael Whatley will support policies that unleash American energy and in turn lower the cost of living.

AFP Action senior advisor for North Carolina Tyler Voigt released the following statement:

“Roy Cooper will put his party’s progressive agenda over commonsense solutions to address cost-of-living issues that are hurting North Carolina families. As governor, he vetoed tax cuts that put more money back in the pockets of North Carolinians. Roy Cooper would be more of the status quo in Washington, putting his party’s agenda first.

“Michael Whatley is tired of Washington’s gridlock and career politicians failing the people who elected them. Whatley has a plan to lower taxes, cut spending, and unleash American energy. Whatley will put North Carolina families first.”
