Americans for Prosperity Action Announces Second Wave of Texas State Legislative Endorsements

AUSTIN, TX—Americans for Prosperity Action (AFP Action) today announced its endorsement of three state legislators running for re-election this November. These candidates earned the endorsement of AFP Action through their leadership in Austin and support for principled policy solutions that seek to tackle the greatest challenges Texans face.

During her time in Austin, Rep. Button has also supported efforts to reduce red tape that will make it easier for small businesses to recover and improved access to quality, affordable health care.

State Senator Brian Birdwell (SD-22):  State Sen. Brian Birdwell has shown immense leadership in ensuring all Texas students have access to the educational environment that works best for their unique needs, allowing hardworking Texans to keep more of what they earn, and ensuring small businesses are able to recover and rebuild even stronger. Through his efforts in Austin, more Texans are able to achieve their American dreams.

State Senator Jane Nelson (SD-12): Through her leadership and dedication to working with anyone to do good, State Senator Jane Nelson has played an instrumental role in promoting opportunity for all Texans. Through her leadership as Finance Chair, the legislature has worked to pass fiscally responsible budgets that prioritize spending, lowered the tax burden on hardworking Texans, and ensured that all businesses do not face burdens that make it harder to recover.

Americans for Prosperity Action Endorses Victoria Spartz for Indiana’s 5th Congressional District

INDIANAPOLIS, IN – Americans for Prosperity Action (AFP Action) today announced its support for State Senator Victoria Spartz’s election to Indiana’s 5th Congressional District. Spartz earned AFP Action’s support for her work in the Indiana Senate to expand access to quality, affordable health care, putting more money in Hoosier families’ pockets, and backing pro-growth reforms that help small business recover and thrive following the economic crisis caused by COVID-19 and business shutdowns.

The grassroots-focused group will use its signature grassroots and a range of other tactics to build support for Victoria Spartz and help her get elected to Congress.

In a memo addressed to interested parties, AFP Action Senior Advisor Michael Chartier expanded on the endorsement:

Americans for Prosperity Action Launch New Wave of “Unstoppable” Ads in Targeted Senate Races

ARLINGTON, VA—Americans for Prosperity Action (AFP Action) today announced it will launch a new wave of advertisements in support of Senators John Cornyn, Steve Daines, David Perdue, and Thom Tillis’s re-elections. Driving a positive, forward-looking message highlighting the positive impacts of these candidate’s support for historic tax reform and reducing red tape, these ads seek to bring voters together to vote for these lawmakers and the solutions they’ve driven during their tenures.

The approximately seven-figure digital effort will layer the group’s active grassroots engagement on innovative digital platforms such as connected TV. While AFP Action has had a consistent digital presence in support of these candidates, this will serve as the largest, most comprehensive digital buy of the cycle, to date.

To date, AFP Action activists have contacted nearly two million voters in these races.
