AFP Action Endorses Byron Donalds for Governor

TALLAHASSEE, FL – Today, Americans for Prosperity Action (AFP Action) endorsed Byron Donalds for governor of Florida. AFP Action will deploy its vast grassroots capabilities throughout the Sunshine State to educate and mobilize voters in support of Congressman Donalds leading up to the August 18th primary.

AFP Action senior adviser for Florida Skylar Zander released the following statement:

“Congressman Donalds built a strong policy record for himself during his time in Congress, and AFP Action is confident that he will continue to be a leader on housing and insurance reform, education, and fiscal oversight as governor. We are glad that Congressman Donalds wants to protect Florida’s 2023 tort reform laws and to continue depopulating Citizens Property Insurance Corporation. He is a strong supporter of school choice, having passed legislation that created the Hope Scholarship.

“Florida’s next governor will surely make decisions that will impact Floridians beyond the next four years. That’s why it is critical that our next governor not only has a proven policy record but also exercises solid leadership. Floridians deserve a race focused on the real issues that matter—attainable homeownership, education freedom, insurance stability, and fiscal responsibility—rather than personal attacks, political games or divisive rhetoric that pulls attention away from solutions.

“Congressman Donalds is running a campaign grounded in real solutions—tackling the big challenges facing Florida today and building a stronger future for families through proven conservative policies and strong principled leadership. AFP Action is thrilled to support Donalds and looks forward to deploying our grassroots network on his behalf.”

AFP Action Congratulates Michael Whatley on Primary Win, Announces New Ad Buy

With all eyes turned to November, AFP Action tonight is also announcing two new ads as part of a six-figure ad buy that draws a contrast between Whatley’s positions and the failed policies that Cooper has supported over his four decades in public office.

AFP Action senior advisor for North Carolina Tyler Voigt released the following statement:

“We congratulate Michael Whatley on his decisive victory tonight. Michael Whatley deserves to be North Carolina’s next U.S. senator because he will put us first, working to lower costs by eliminating job-killing regulations and making the U.S. energy dominant. In contrast, Roy Cooper will put his progressive agenda first. He vetoed tax cuts that helped North Carolina families. We cannot afford to elect Roy Cooper as our next senator, and AFP Action looks forward to deploying our grassroots network in support of Whatley from now through November.”
