AFP Action-NV endorses Rhonda Knightly (AD-29), Tiffany Jones (AD-35), Joey Paulos (SD-08), and Tina Brown (SD-09)

LAS VEGAS, NV – Americans for Prosperity Action-Nevada (AFP Action-NV) today announced it has endorsed a slate of general election candidates for the Nevada Legislature.

These leaders earned the endorsement of AFP Action-NV through their support for principled policy solutions that seek to increase opportunity for every Nevadan. AFP Action-NV will leverage the full weight of its grassroots activists, among other tactics, to urge voters to elect these strong community leaders in November.

AFP Action-NV Senior Advisor Ronnie Najarro released the following statement on the endorsements:

“This slate of candidates represents some of the very best policy champions for everyday Nevadans. So many legislative battles are fought at the state level, and these newly endorsed candidates will fight to reduce inflation and increase economic opportunity for every Nevadan. We look forward to working alongside these candidates upon their election to the legislature.”

AFP Action will leverage a wide range of tactics, including the country’s largest grassroots outreach and mobilization, a full-time dedicated staff, and trained volunteers to educate and mobilize voters to support endorsed candidates.

BACKGROUND

Joey Paulos (SD-08)

When elected to the State Senate, Joey Paulos will advance policies that reduce harmful regulations that limit access to health care and drive up costs. He will advance personal options to health care—as opposed to government-run options—to give consumers more control of their health needs. Paulos will also be an advocate for taxpayers, working to increase transparency in the budget process and expanding educational opportunities, so parents have a wider range of educational options that meet their children’s learning needs.

Rhonda Knightly (AD-29)

Rhonda Knightly has a long career as an accountant, and she will use her experience to promote fiscally responsible state budgets that protect the taxpayers’ interests. She also understands the need to promote a business-friendly economic environment that creates new opportunities and a strong economy. Aside from being a partner on spending, taxation, and the economy, Knightly supports reforming the criminal justice system so that rehabilitated incarcerated individuals who pose no public threat can return to their families and communities as productive citizens.

Tiffany Jones (AD-35)

When elected to the state legislature in November, Tiffany Jones will be a strong voice for Nevada parents seeking expanded education opportunities that meet their children’s individual learning needs. Jones has voiced support for expanding education freedom through a variety of options for all Nevadans. Jones also wants to expand options to health care that empower patients and doctors and get government out of the way.

Tina Brown (SD-09)

A Las Vegas native and community leader, Tina Brown understands how important education is to the future of our state and to the lives of future generations that will lead and grow our state in the future. Once in office, Brown will support a range of empowerment education reforms such as education savings accounts that put more control in the hands of parents. Brown also understands the harm burdensome and intrusive government regulations can impose on our economy. She will work to decrease regulatory burdens, such as those imposed on Nevada food truck operators, and expand residential building opportunities for contractors.
