Americans for Prosperity Action Florida Endorses 10 Additional Candidates Ahead of General Election 

Statewide, FL—Today, Americans for Prosperity Action Florida (AFP Action FL) announced a new wave of endorsements for the general election, making strategic plays for strengthening Florida’s legislature next year.  

Leading up to the primaries this election cycle, AFP Action FL made 29 endorsements and saw 11 candidates facing primaries win their race. As AFP Action FL moves into the general election, key policy champions will receive the organization’s grassroots, digital, and advertising support.  

AFP Action FL Senior Advisor, Skylar Zander, made the following statement: 

“Florida’s primary results paired with what we hear at the doors shows our team just how imperative it is to stand behind principled leaders. This round of endorsements led to candidates who are aligned on keeping Florida free and a prosperous place to live. Endorsed Candidates 

Chad Johnson (HD-22) 

As a former county commissioner, Chad has the experience needed to lead House District 22 well. He has strong fiscal conservative values, demonstrating his commitment to providing tax relief and balancing the budget. He is also expected to be a voice for expanded education opportunities, supporting more career training and giving power to parents.   

Bill Partington (HD-28)  

With principled views on taxes, education, and health care, Bill Partington is the best choice for House District 28. Bill will bring his experience as mayor to the position, leaning on his background fighting tix increases and supporting parental rights in expanded education options.  

State Rep. Kevin Steele (HD-55) 

As a freshman, Rep. Steele has been instrumental in top issue areas from health care, independent contractor rights, to education and more. As a health care business owner, Rep. Steele understands the value of competition and choice in the market and will continue to be a voice for fiscal conservative policies and economic reforms.  

State Rep. Adam Anderson (HD-57) 

Notably, Rep. Anderson has sponsored bills to strengthen health care by allowing nonprofit agricultural organizations to provide coverage to members. He is a needed voice in office to expand telehealth and work towards better labor and regulatory laws. 

State Rep. Linda Chaney (HD-61)  

Rep. Chaney understands that onerous labor regulations prevent growth in Florida’s economy and has stood firmly in her convictions. She is the best choice for House District 61 and will continue to support foundational education growth in the state. 

State Rep. Will Robinson (HD-71) 

When re-elected, Rep. Robinson will continue to use his position to expand telehealth, broaden the scope of practice, and support Certificate of Need (CoN) repeal. He is also a policy champion for creating more choice in educational opportunities. 

State Rep. Tiffany Esposito (HD-77) 

Rep. Esposito is the leader House District 77 needs to drive economic reforms. She is passionate about occupational licensing improvements and her belief that regulations hold Floridians back and cause labor shortages will make her an impactful leader in office. 

State Rep. Adam Botana (HD-80)   

Rep. Botana is a proven leader on regulations and foundational education, sponsoring key legislation to limit advisory bodies while also standing up for parents with expanded education freedom. His position as Chief Floor Whip demonstrates his ability to gather support needed to make legislative change.  

Meg Weinberger (HD-94)

Meg is the best choice for House District 94 as she is expected to support policies that put Florida’s workforce first while promoting transparency and accountability. In office, Meg will work to lower taxes and decrease regulation to improve our economy. She is also a strong leader on improving parents’ rights in their children’s education.

State Rep. Juan Porras (HD-119) 

Rep. Porras is a prominent leader on issues such as education, health care, regulations, and labor. He spearheaded efforts to reform and expand educational opportunities including more choices for students and greater flexibility for parents.

SPRINGFIELD, IL – Americans for Prosperity Action (AFP Action) today announced its support of seven candidates running for re-election to the Illinois General Assembly.

Grant is an ally on economic issues, serving as the lead sponsor of tax cuts that would help Illinois families.

State Rep. Martin McLaughlin (HD-52)

Rep. Martin McLaughlin has been a consistent voice for fiscal responsibility, cosponsoring balanced budget amendment legislation and a bill to freeze discretionary spending for two years. In the House and as a local mayor before that, he has been a leader in fighting to lower property taxes. McLaughlin has also supported several bills to expand the tax credit scholarship program to increase education freedom.

State Rep. Jackie Haas (HD-79)

Rep. Jackie Haas focuses on fiscal responsibility and promoting job growth in Springfield. She is a champion for Illinois taxpayers by cosponsoring legislation to prevent a graduated income tax and a retirement tax. Haas has a proven record of removing government barriers to quality health care and education.

State Rep. Nicole La Ha (HD-82)

Rep. La Ha brings a depth of experience and extensive public service record from serving as Homer Glen Board of Trustees member and founder of a disability organization. She has consistently advocated for lower taxes and responsible spending and strongly supports Illinois’ charter school tax credit program.

State Rep. Brandun Schweizer (HD-104)

State Rep. Amy Elik (HD-111)

Rep. Amy Elik understands the threat that out-of-control spending poses to our state, not just as a driver of inflation but as a threat to our long-term economic prosperity. In the State House, Elik is the lead sponsor of the balanced budget amendment to control state spending. She also opposed moving to a graduated income tax system, new excise taxes, and gas tax increases.

State Rep. Kevin Schmidt (HD-114)

AFP Action Targets Key Senators Failures in New Ads for Out-of-Touch Policies Resulting in “Unbearable Costs”

Arlington, VA – AFP Action is rolling out a new series of testimonial ads calling out the policy failures and reckless spending of Senators Jon Tester (MT), Sherrod Brown (OH), and Bob Casey (PA), leading to the worst cost of living crisis in a generation. The ads are part of an existing $3.5 million buy across digital and connected TV platforms and feature the voices of real voters bearing the brunt of the harmful policies driving inflation. 

AFP Action Director Nathan Nascimento gave the following statement:

“Americans are facing record-high prices at the grocery store and gas pumps, a direct result of the failed Biden-Harris policies supported by Senators Jon Tester, Sherrod Brown, and Bob Casey.

The ads in Pennsylvania emphasize the desire for leaders who understand the fundamentals of a successful economy and reject the Inflation Reduction Act as ineffective. These voters are concerned that their Senators have been in Washington, D.C., for too long and are now out of touch with their constituents’ needs.
