DES MOINES, Iowa – Americans for Prosperity Action (AFP Action) announced its endorsement of Ashley Hinson’s election to Iowa’s 1st Congressional District. Hinson earned AFP Action’s support for her work in the Iowa House of Representatives to expand health care access, cut taxes, and provide second chances to Iowan’s who’ve paid their debt to society. AFP Action is dedicated to supporting candidates who demonstrate leadership on key policies that will improve people’s lives.
In an oped in Iowa Field Report, AFP Action Senior Advisor Drew Klein expanded on the endorsement:
“It’s not enough just to cast the right votes. If you want to ask voters to promote you, you need to be a leader, be willing to resist the status quo, and be willing to stick your neck out without fear of the political consequences. That’s why we’re endorsing Rep. Hinson.
On issue after issue, Rep. Ashley Hinson has been willing to work with anyone to find solutions that benefit all Iowans. And then she has championed those solutions. That’s why we encourage the voters of northeast Iowa to elect her to Congress in November.”
