DENVER, CO —Americans for Prosperity Action (AFP Action) today endorsed Jeff Hurd and State Representative Gabe Evans in their bids for the U.S. House of Representatives. Hurd is in Colorado’s 3rd congressional district, and Rep. Evans is in Colorado’s new 8th congressional district.
AFP Action announced last year the organization would be engaging earlier and in more primaries than ever before. Today’s endorsements put that promise into action.
AFP Action Senior Advisor Jesse Mallory released the following statement:
“A first-time candidate who deeply understands his community, AFP Action believes Jeff Hurd to be the candidate that should take over the newly open 3rd congressional district. Hurd acknowledges the need to combat inflation and cost-of-living increases in Colorado and emphasizes the need for a secure southern border with increased technology, infrastructure, and boots on the ground.
“Representative Gabe Evans has a track record of serving his community – whether in the State House or as a former police officer. Coloradans are facing rate increase upon tax increase – and Rep. Evans has vowed to be an advocate in Congress to reign in Washington’s reckless spending and stop the attempts to stifle the American energy industry. Rep. Evans is the best candidate to defeat Yadira Caraveo in a general election.
