For two decades, Debbie Stabenow left the real concerns of Michiganders behind as she rubber-stamped a progressive agenda that hurt their families, their businesses, and their paychecks.

“Elissa Slotkin will be more of the same. She showed us that with her voting record. She’s wearing a mask of moderation to win this election, but we know the kinds of policies that she supports by rubber-stamping 100% of the Biden-Harris agenda.

“Mike Rogers has the right attitude and solutions to stand up for Michigan in the Senate, and we need that more than ever.”

• Elissa Slotkin voted against H.R. 2 the “Secure the Border” Act of 2023.
• As a freshman Congresswoman, Slotkin voted to terminate an emergency declaration that would have enabled the construction of a border wall on the U.S.-Mexico border.
• She dismissed the effort to strengthen the nation’s border security as merely “political action on the part of the President.”

However, her voting record shows that she puts progressive politics over the best interests of Michigan’s families and businesses.

Despite spelling potential disaster to Michigan’s economy, Elissa Slotkin voted just last month to uphold the Biden-Harris Administration’s electric vehicle mandate. This follows a trend of Slotkin backing feckless energy initiatives that would increase energy costs and destabilize the grid.

She’s supported a ban on liquid natural gas exports, has endorsed shutting down the Line 5 pipeline in Michigan, and favors a radical environmental agenda that’s at odds with growing Michigan’s economy and keeping costs down for Michiganders.

“Elissa Slotkin’s progressive agenda threatens the stability of Michigan’s energy grid and its economy. The electric vehicle mandate cuts at the heart of Michigan’s auto manufacturing sector. Given the chance to roll back this overreaching regulation just last month, Slotkin voted to keep it—even though she’s falsely advertising to voters that she supports consumer choice.

“But it’s also on-brand. Slotkin has supported strangling the export of liquid natural gas, wants to close a critical pipeline in Michigan, and doesn’t understand that her aggressive anti-energy agenda isn’t workable.

“With our weather and climate AND our economy, there’s really only one champion on the ballot: Mike Rogers. He supports an all-of-the-above approach to domestic energy production, which is exactly what we need if we intend to thrive.”

Grand Rapids, Michigan – In tonight’s debate, Congresswoman Elissa Slotkin attempted to salvage her economic record after voting for legislation that triggered the cost-of-living crisis that’s squeezing hard-working Michiganders and ballooned the national debt.

Despite previous claims that she’s a “fiscal conservative” and believes in “treating our federal budget like we treat our home budget” Slotkin voted for the inflationary “Inflation Reduction Act” (IRA). Contrary to its name, the IRA kicked inflation into overdrive. The IRA  resulted in U.S. gas prices increasing by nearly 62%, natural gas prices spiking by more than 40 percent, and included a $250-billion-dollar Department of Energy Loan Guarantee Program to fund liberal pet projects. Studies show that far from reducing inflation, the IRA and other signature pieces of the Biden-Harris economic agenda overheated the economy and led to the crushing cost increase in household goods.

He supports a balanced budget amendment and—unlike Slotkin—knows that inflation is a government-created problem caused by wasteful government spending.”
