TALLAHASSEE, FL – Today, Americans for Prosperity Action (AFP Action) announced the endorsement of Rep. Monique Miller (HD-33), Rep. Jennifer Canady (HD-50), Rep. Hilary Holley (HD-51), and Josie Tomkow (SD-14).
Skylar Zander, senior advisor for AFP Action in Florida, released the following statement:
“Florida families deserve lawmakers who are focused on results, and these candidates will deliver on energy, education, healthcare, and the cost of living. AFP Action is proud to stand behind all four of these women as they make their case to voters this November.”
Background:
Rep. Monique Miller (HD-33)
Rep. Miller has been a leader in the Florida House on energy and education policy. She was the lead sponsor of a bill that established a regulatory framework for advanced nuclear development in Florida. Miller has also consistently supported school choice legislation.
Rep. Jennifer Canady (HD-50)
Rep. Canady chairs the Education Committee and has spent her career in the state legislature working to protect school choice and parental involvement. She was also a co-sponsor of Miller’s advanced nuclear framework bill.
Rep. Hilary Holley (HD-51)
AFP Action supported Holley in a March special election and is endorsing her again heading into November’s general election. As the executive director of Florida FFA (formerly the Future Farmers of America), Holley is experienced on agricultural policy, and she has carried that focus into the legislature through support for agricultural deregulation, insurance reform, and tax cuts.
Josie Tomkow (SD-14)
As a state representative, Tomkow was a leader on healthcare issues, from pushing for scope of practice reform to expanding medical access. She also fought against overregulation of education savings accounts and unnecessary pension reforms.
