PA Needs an Energy Champion in the U.S. Senate

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, –In tonight’s Pennsylvania Senate Debate, Dave McCormick made it clear he will embrace an ‘all-of-the-above’ approach to domestic energy production that could propel more economic growth and opportunity in the Commonwealth.

Despite Kamala Harris’s very clear history of advocating for a ban on fracking, Bob Casey refuses to speak out or urge Harris to make her support for U.S. energy abundance clear.

AFP Action Senior Advisor Emily Greene released the following statement:

“Pennsylvania has so much energy potential, but it needs to be unleashed by a true energy champion. Dave McCormick isn’t afraid to embrace energy abundance. A true, all-of-the-above approach will not only help reduce operating costs and utility costs for Pennsylvanians, but it will also create more job opportunities in the Keystone State.

“On the other hand, Bob Casey has said little about Pennsylvania’s energy potential or pushed Kamala Harris to commit to unleash energy abundance. The choice is clear, Pennsylvania can choose Dave McCormick’s enthusiastic and transformative energy policy, or they can vote for a senator who only pays lip-service to Pennsylvania’s powerhouse potential.”
