Columbus, OH – Americans for Prosperity Action (AFP Action) launched new creative in its $1.4 million digital and streaming campaign in support of Jon Husted for U.S. Senate. The new ads, “Common Sense” and “Taking Root,” draw a clear contrast between two paths for Ohio: Husted’s record of cutting red tape and delivering results for Ohio workers, and Sherrod Brown’s unwillingness to stand up to the socialist agenda taking root in his own party — an agenda of higher taxes, more spending, and more government control that Ohio families would pay for.
The buy brings AFP Action’s total investment in Ohio to more than $9 million this cycle, which includes a sustained grassroots canvassing operation.
AFP Action Senior Advisor for Ohio Donovan O’Neil said the following:
“Socialism is taking root in Sherrod Brown’s party, and he hasn’t said a word against it. Ohioans are paying more for groceries, housing, and energy, and the answer coming from his party is more government, more spending, and more of your paycheck. Ohio needs a senator who will stand up to that agenda, not go along with it.
“Jon Husted has a record of getting results — cutting the red tape that held Ohio businesses back, streamlining state government, and building the workforce pipeline that brought jobs to Ohio. He’ll continue bringing that same common-sense approach to the Senate.”
