Landsman Flip-Flops on Border Stance

CINCINNATI, OH – During tonight’s Ohio 1st Congressional District debate, while Greg Landsman attempted to defend the Biden-Harris administration’s failure to secure the southern border, AFP Action is highlighting the endangered representative’s flip-flopping border security stance:

On January 17, 2024, Landsman voted for H.Res. 957

On July 25, 2024, Landsman voted against H.Res.1371

AFP Action Senior Advisor Donovan O’Neil released the following statement:

“Rep. Landsman is continually proving to voters in Southwest Ohio that his priority is voting for legislation that keeps him in power. After supporting the same condemnation earlier this year, Landsman has shifted his stance to cater to the most extreme factions of his party.

“Landsman has shown his constituents that he has no true convictions as a member of Congress, and Ohio border security is suffering because of it.”

Ryan Voted Against Securing the U.S.-Mexico Border

Poughkeepsie, NY – Americans for Prosperity Action is calling out Pat Ryan for attempting to cover up his voting record when it comes to securing our southern border.

AFP Action Senior Advisor Ross Connolly made the following statement:

“Pat Ryan may claim he cares about protecting our communities, but his actions say otherwise. He’s voted against measures, such as H.R.2, the “Secure Border Act,”  that would combat the flow of illegal drugs and crime coming through the southern border and threatening our communities.

“Because of politicians like Pat Ryan failing to take action, every state has become a border state. Esposito will fight for increased technology, boots on the ground, and infrastructure that will not only secure our southern border but secure our state and our country.”

Esposito Bests Ryan in Second Debate

Poughkeepsie, NY – After Alison Esposito beat Pat Ryan in yet another debate, AFP Action is pointing out some key takeaways:

  • Pat Ryan may attempt to separate himself from President Biden, but he is just another rubber-stamp for the Biden-Harris administration and has voted with the president 100% of the time.
  • Pat Ryan voted against H.R.2, the “Secure the Border” Act of 2023 and has failed to secure our southern border.
  • Alison Esposito is the leader New York needs to get our economy back on track, cut taxes, reduce the cost of living, and protect our communities.

AFP Action Senior Advisor Ross Connolly released the following statement:

“Tonight, Alison Esposito once again made clear that she is the best choice to represent the Hudson Valley in the U.S. Congress.

“While Pat Ryan may talk a big game, his voting record tells a different story. He has voted with the president 100% of the time, enabling the disastrous agenda responsible for our cost-of-living crisis and catastrophe at the southern border.

“New Yorkers deserve a leader who will deliver real results, and Alison Esposito is ready to secure our border, protect our communities, and address the cost-of-living crisis head-on. It’s time to turn the page on Pat Ryan and choose a real leader like Alison Esposito.”

FIVE KEY TAKEAWAYS FROM DAVE McCORMICK’S WINNING DEBATE PERFORMANCE:

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania—Last night, Dave McCormick won the second Pennsylvania Senate debate. The performance highlighted the stark differences between Bob Casey Jr. and Dave McCormick as they approach November 5.

AFP Action Senior Advisory Emily Greene issued the following statement:

“Here are five key takeaways for Pennsylvania voters:

  1. Americans agree that now is not the time to raise taxes. Dave McCormick has promised to renew the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. Bob Casey Jr. voted against it.
  2. Bob Casey has been in office nearly 20 years and has always toed the party line rather than stand up for Pennsylvania. It’s time for fresh and bold representation that Dave McCormick can deliver.
  3. Bob Casey Jr. is a rubber-stamp for the Biden-Harris economic agenda, Bob Casey voted for the wasteful government spending that triggered a cost-of-living crisis. But when he’s asked, he’ll blame businesses rather than own his record.
  4. The border crisis didn’t develop overnight. Despite being in office for nearly 20 years, and despite tens of thousands of deaths caused by fentanyl coming into the country though our broken border, Bob Casey refused to vote to protect Pennsylvanians. Dave McCormick will be the advocate Pennsylvania needs to restore security to our southern border.
  5. Dave McCormick embraces energy abundance and an all-of-the-above approach to domestic energy production. Bob Casey merely pays it lip service every six years.”
