LAS VEGAS, NV – Today, Americans for Prosperity Action (AFP Action) and The LIBRE Initiative Action (LIBRE Action) are endorsing four additional names for election and reelection to the Nevada State Legislature.
State Sen. Carrie Buck (SD-5), Lori Rogich (SD-11), Assemblywoman Heidi Kasama (AD-2), and Assemblyman Greg Haffen (AD-36) all garnered the endorsement of AFP Action and LIBRE Action for their commitment to increasing opportunities for all Nevadans. These candidates will champion fiscally responsible policies that will help combat the high cost-of-living crisis facing the Battle Born State.
AFP Action and LIBRE Action, as part of the largest grassroots network in the country, will leverage the full weight of its voter contact capabilities, in addition to direct-mail and digital advertisements, to support these candidates.
AFP Action Senior Advisor Ronnie Najarro released the following statement:
“AFP Action and our army of grassroots activists and volunteers are going to be out in force through November to help ensure Buck, Rogich, Kasama and Hafen are elected to the State Legislature.
“Nevadans are facing an unprecedented cost-of-living crisis and it’s never been more important to elect leaders who will fight to bring down inflation and reignite Nevada’s economy. We look forward to working alongside these candidates upon their election.”
LIBRE Action Senior Advisor Eddie Diaz released the following statement:
“The Latino vote is set to be a crucial factor in shaping the outcomes of Nevada elections. This is why LIBRE Action is excited to mobilize Latinos in favor of candidates Buck, Rogich, Kasama, and Hafen. Latinos and all Americans from all backgrounds continue to struggle with an unaffordable economy fueled by ineffective government policies. To move in the right direction, we need these leaders who will champion solutions to expand growth and opportunities in the economy.”
Endorsed Candidates:
State Sen. Carrie Buck (SD-5)
State Sen. Carrie Buck is a trusted leader on school choice in the legislature and brings her experience as a principal of both a charter and a public school to her role. She’s been a fierce advocate for the state’s Opportunity Scholarship and has fought for increased school choice in Nevada. Aside from education, she is a leading voice on health care reforms, sponsoring legislation that lowers licensing requirements for medical professionals.
Lori Rogich (SD-11)
As a parent of a child in the public school system, Rogich understands the need for a more personalized approach to education for Nevada’s students and will oppose a one-size-fits-all approach to schooling in the legislature. She will also be a strong advocate for small businesses by cutting burdensome regulations and red tape.
Assemblywoman Heidi Kasama (AD-2)
Assemblywoman Kasama has been a strong advocate for expanding Education Savings Accounts (ESAs), recognizing the need for unique and expanded opportunities for Nevada’s students. Additionally, Kasama will fight for health care reform and increase access to Nevadans.
Assemblyman Greg Haffen (AD-36)
A dedicated advocate for school choice, Haffen has supported legislation to expand funding and eligibility in Nevada’s educational choice scholarship program. He has consistently opposed job-killing labor proposals like collective bargaining and minimum wage increases.
