ARLINGTON, VA — Americans for Prosperity Action (AFP Action) today announced its endorsement of four candidates for the U.S. House of Representatives: Juan Ciscomani (AZ-06), Aaron Flint (MT-01), Derek Merrin (OH-09), and Jennifer Balkcom (NC-11). Each has demonstrated a strong commitment to the kind of limited-government, pro-growth policies AFP Action activists will now mobilize to elect.
Nathan Nascimento, Executive Director of AFP Action, issued the following statement:
“These races matter because Congress needs more fighters for freedom — people who know that lower costs and a better life come from less government, not more of it. Each of these candidates understand this election is a choice between freedom and government control, and they’re ready to take that fight to Washington. AFP Action is proud to stand behind them. In the final stretch, our activists are the ones on doorsteps making that case directly to voters — and that’s what wins in a close race.”
Juan Ciscomani (AZ-06): Ciscomani has a strong record on border security and working to fix our broken immigration system, championing reforms to the Conrad 30 program and streamlined visa processing, while also opposing tax increases and working to rein in federal spending.
Aaron Flint (MT-01): A decorated combat veteran and fifth-generation Montanan, Flint has spent two decades giving Montanans a voice on the rising cost of living, and he’s running on lowering costs, reining in spending, and restoring accountability in Washington.
Jennifer Balkcom (NC-11): As a state legislator, Balkcom put good policy ahead of politics — cosponsoring a portable benefits bill for independent contractors, voting to expand school choice, and backing a constitutional amendment to rein in property tax hikes, all while opposing tax increases.
Derek Merrin (OH-09): As Chair of the Ohio House Ways and Means Committee, Merrin led efforts to cut property taxes, eliminate the state income tax, and ease the overall tax burden, while advancing occupational licensing reforms aimed at expanding opportunities for workers. His record in the Statehouse reflects a consistent focus on lowering costs and expanding economic freedom.
AFP Action is already engaged in a number of other critical U.S. House races this cycle, including on behalf of Reps. Mariannette Miller-Meeks, Jeff Crank, Tom Barrett and Gabe Evans, along with candidate Eric Flores. A full list of AFP Action’s endorsed candidates is available at afpaction.com/endorsements.
