MISSOULA, MT – Tonight, AFP Action congratulates Tim Sheehy on a resounding victory and becoming Montana’s newest member of the U.S. Senate. AFP Action endorsed Sheehy in November of 2023.
Throughout the election cycle, AFP Action made more than 1.8 million voter contacts – the most in chapter history – about the Senate race between Tim Sheehy and Jon Tester. This effort began back in November of 2023 and AFP Action’s grassroots army of staff and volunteers have been canvassing the state to educate voters on the contrast between career politician Jon Tester and businessman and veteran Tim Sheehy.
Upon the race call, AFP Action Senior Advisor and AFP-Montana State Director Jesse Ramos released the following statement:
“Tim Sheehy’s message of Montana values over Washington bureaucrats resonated with voters and AFP Action congratulates the Sheehy campaign on a hard-fought victory.
“For too long, Jon Tester has sided with the most progressive in his party over Montana but tonight, Montanans rejected the career politician and voted instead to turn the page on nearly two decades of policies that have caused a cost-of-living crisis in the state.
“AFP stands ready to work alongside Tim Sheehy in the Senate to bring down inflation and cost of living and reignite the American dream right here in Montana.”
