COLUMBUS, OH – Tonight, AFP Action congratulates Bernie Moreno on a resounding victory and becoming Ohio’s newest member of the U.S. Senate.
Throughout the election cycle, AFP Action contacted over two million voters in Ohio. This effort began back in March, and AFP Action’s grassroots army of staff and volunteers have been canvassing the state to educate voters on the contrast between career politician Sherrod Brown and businessman Bernie Moreno.
Upon the race call, AFP Action Senior Advisor and AFP-OH State Director Donovan O’Neil released the following statement:
“Bernie Moreno’s message of Buckeye values over Washington bureaucrats resonated with voters and AFP Action congratulates the Moreno campaign on a hard-fought victory.
“For too long, Sherrod Brown has sided with the most progressive in his party over Ohio, but tonight, the Buckeye state rejected the career politician and voted instead to turn the page on nearly two decades of policies that have caused a cost-of-living crisis in the state.
“AFP stands ready to work alongside Bernie Moreno in the Senate to bring down inflation and cost of living and reignite the American dream right here in Ohio.”
This has been a record-breaking year as AFP and AFP Action separately engaged in a staggering 647 races, including 7 critical U.S. Senate races and 44 U.S. House races. AFP and AFP Action’s grassroots army across the country reached out to more than 19.5 million voters – AFP and AFP Action’s largest effort in our 20-year history. AFP Action’s engagement in federal races is critical as we get back to promoting candidates who will advance good policy in Washington and AFP and AFP Action’s engagement in state legislative races continues their commitment to championing policy solutions and limited government principles that empower states across the country.
