AFP Action Launches $22 Million Ad Campaign and National Grassroots Deployment to Win Key Senate Races

Major multimillion-dollar investment across five states, paired with on-the-ground reinforcements for the final stretch

ARLINGTON, VA. – Americans for Prosperity Action today announced a $22.38 million ad campaign supporting AFP Action-endorsed Senate candidates in Michigan, Ohio, Iowa, New Hampshire, and Alaska. The campaign runs across digital, connected TV, cable, and radio through Election Day.

The ads draw a sharp contrast between the future Democrats’ embrace of socialism would bring and the credible alternative offered by AFP Action-endorsed candidates Dan Sullivan (AK), Ashley Hinson (IA), Mike Rogers (MI), John Sununu (NH), and Jon Husted (OH): lower taxes, affordable energy, and a government that lives within its means.

“Socialism’s promises end in higher costs and fewer freedoms, and voters in these states are ready to reject it. Americans have a clear choice this fall between a government that controls you and one that empowers you, and we’re making sure every voter sees it,” said Nathan Nascimento, executive director of AFP Action.

About the Ads:

Alaska: Mary Peltola’s record of voting with her party nearly 90% of the time is a risk Alaskans can’t afford, especially while her party’s socialist shift threatens higher taxes, a fossil fuel ban, a health care takeover, and Washington control of Alaska. Dan Sullivan is the one who will say no to government control, protect Alaska’s way of life, keep cutting taxes, unleash Alaskan energy, and get DC out of the way.

Iowa: Josh Turek can’t be trusted to stop a Democratic Party that socialists have taken over. AFPA’s ads warn of a government takeover of health care, banned insurance plans, a fossil fuel ban that drives up energy costs, higher taxes, defunded police, and open borders. Ashley Hinson is the common-sense alternative, with a record of delivering the biggest middle-class tax cuts in history (about $3,000 a year for Iowans) and unleashing American energy to lower costs and create jobs.

Michigan: AFPA’s ads show how Abdul El-Sayed is an avowed socialist whose agenda would eliminate private health insurance, gut American energy, raise taxes, and give government total control. Mike Rogers is the contrast: a steady, common-sense problem solver who cuts wasteful spending, lowers taxes, produces more energy to bring costs down, and who knows socialism makes things worse.

New Hampshire: Chris Pappas can’t be trusted to stand up to a Democratic Party taken over by socialists, as evidenced by his voting with the party 94% of the time on tax hikes, a health care takeover, open borders, and defunding the police. John Sununu is the independent alternative who puts people before politics, with a plan to cut taxes, unleash American energy, eliminate wasteful spending, and roll back costly regulations.

Ohio: Sherrod Brown is a career Washington politician and rubber stamp who will cave to a radicalized party on higher taxes, government-controlled health insurance, border security, and safety. Jon Husted is the trustworthy fighter who never quits, with a plan to cut spending and taxes, unleash American energy to lower prices, and keep families safe.

Grassroots Deployment

In addition to the ad investment, AFP Action is mobilizing its grassroots network from across the country for on-the-ground deployments to the most competitive states. The added manpower will strengthen door-knocking and get-out-the-vote operations in the final weeks of the election. No other group can tap into grassroots infrastructure of this scale, which makes AFP Action uniquely positioned to turn out voters where it matters most.
