AFP Action Announces Endorsements of Nick Pachota and Sen. Jason Brodeur

Tallahassee, FL – Today, Americans for Prosperity Action (AFP Action) announced its endorsement of Nick Pachota (HD-74) and Sen. Jason Brodeur (SD-10).

AFP Action Senior Advisor Skylar Zander released the following statement:

“Florida families deserve legislators who will fight to cut red tape, lower healthcare costs and make it easier to build and afford a home. Nick Pachota and Jason Brodeur have already proven themselves as leaders on those priorities, championing housing reform that makes buying a home more affordable and more attainable. They have fought for deregulation allowing individuals and businesses to thrive. We’re proud to endorse them.”

Background

Nick Pachota (HD-74)

Nick Pachota, mayor of Venice, has been a leader on tax relief and housing reform. As mayor, he worked to reduce mileage rates and has been clear that he’ll fight for lower taxes in the legislature. He also passed a local accessory dwelling unit (ADU) ordinance that cut through permitting red tape, an approach that could serve as a model statewide to streamline housing permitting and roll back rent control policies that limit housing supply for Floridians.

Sen. Jason Brodeur (SD-10)

Sen. Brodeur has been one of the loudest voices in Tallahassee on healthcare policy. Over the last two legislative sessions, he led legislation expanding telehealth access for patients and supporting our first responders by updating Florida’s EMT and paramedic training requirements. He has also been a leader on deregulation removing red tape so businesses and individuals can thrive. On housing, Brodeur has fought to lower hosing costs by supporting bills that limit owner-occupancy requirements and reform accessory dwelling unit policies.
