Lansing, MI – Today, Americans for Prosperity Action (AFP Action) announced a $1 million ad buy in support of Mike Rogers for U.S. Senate, bringing AFP Action’s investment in the Michigan Senate race to more than $5.5 million this cycle. The ad, “Workhorse,” highlights two distinct paths for Michigan: Rogers’ record of fiscal discipline and independent leadership against the far left’s tax-and-spend agenda that has driven up costs for Michigan families.
AFP Action detailed this shift in a new memo, “El-Sayed’s Michigan Win Puts DSA Agenda on the Ballot Nationwide.”
LIBRE Action, AFP Action’s sister organization focused on outreach to Hispanic communities, is running a complementary ad, “More Opportunity,” highlighting Rogers’s plan to expand economic opportunity for Michigan families.

AFP Action Senior Advisor Tim Golding said the following:
“Michigan families are struggling with the cost of everything from groceries to gas, and Abdul El-Sayed’s answer is more government, more spending, and more of your paycheck. His agenda of government-run healthcare and higher taxes would make life more expensive for the people he claims to fight for.
“Mike Rogers understands what it takes to grow Michigan’s economy and get families ahead without Washington getting in the way. He’s the voice that Michiganders need in the Senate.”
