PORTAGE, MI — This past weekend, Americans for Prosperity Action (AFP Action) held a Day of Action in Michigan to build momentum behind the Senate campaign of Mike Rogers, part of a sweeping, coordinated grassroots push across key battleground states in the 2026 election cycle.
The Day of Action marked a significant milestone for AFP Action, whose grassroots volunteers surpassed the one millionth door knocked in key Senate races this cycle, including over 300,000 doors knocked in Michigan alone on behalf of Rogers’ campaign. The landmark threshold represents a massive scale of early, in-person outreach during one of the most critical windows of the 2026 election.
In an interview with Fox News and surrounded by AFP Action volunteers, Mike Rogers highlighted the power of grassroots activism driving his campaign, the opportunity agenda at the heart of his platform, and the stark contrast between his vision for Michigan and the progressive record of higher costs and more regulation for Michiganders.

AFP Action Senior Advisor for Michigan Tim Golding issued the following statement:
“Crossing 300,000 doors in Michigan is proof that voters across this state are hungry for real change after years of progressives delivering higher taxes, more regulations, and radical candidates who are completely out of step with Michigan families.
“In Michigan, AFP Action has made clear that Michigan voters deserve a senator who will fight to expand opportunity, cut through federal red tape, and reverse the damage done by Lansing’s radical left-wing agenda.
“Our volunteers carry the message that expanding opportunity and restoring economic freedom is what this election is about. Mike Rogers has shown he is the kind of candidate who can energize that grassroots energy and turn it into results in November. We are calling on Michigan voters to keep that momentum going and make sure their voices are heard at the ballot box.”
