ICYMI: AFP Action’s Grassroots Push: 30 Million Voters, One Closing Message That Works

ARLINGTON, VA – With Election Day just days away, AFP Action is continuing to connect with voters at their doorsteps to deliver a closing argument that turning to socialist policies would be a crushing mistake and have lasting consequences for a generation.

AFP Action has targeted more than 30 million voters this cycle with a layered approach of mail, digital and TV, and one-on-one conversations that reinforce each other to create a message that sticks. That message has been a piece-by-piece breakdown of the worst socialist policies with a sharp contrast to a credible alternative.

Here’s where our leaders are making the case in the media.

Emily Seidel, President and CEO of Americans for Prosperity and AFP Action Senior Adviser, on The Daily Signal Podcast.

“This is a cost of living election, and it has been a cost of living election for over a year. We started talking to voters very, very early in this cycle to understand how they were looking at things and feeling about the upcoming midterms, and they couldn’t be clearer. Everybody is concerned about cost of living, and they want a plan for what the candidates will do to actually solve for the cost of housing, the cost of gas, the cost of groceries. And that is, you know, you knock on any door in America, that’s what you’re gonna hear about.”

“It’s not enough to just attack socialism at the surface level. You have to talk about what it actually is. So rent control as a way to bring down housing costs, we know that that won’t work, right? But you have to go through the conversation to explain why it won’t work, why government-funded grocery stores won’t fix the cost of groceries over time, why government-run healthcare would be a total disaster, why we can’t solve America’s problems by just, you know, raising taxes on fellow Americans. You have to have that full conversation. And when you do, people say, yeah, I don’t want that. That’s not something that I think is going to actually solve the problems that I’m facing in my daily life.”

Katelyn Bledsoe, Vice President of External Affairs and AFP Action Senior Adviser, on The Ruthless Podcast.

“What we have found is socialism is souring on swing voters. 59% have associated the Democratic Party with the very, very far left, and 56% have an unfavorable view of the Democratic Socialist Party of America.”

Tim Golding, AFP-Michigan State Director and AFP Action Senior Adviser, on Fox News.

“It’s two very different ideologies, and Mike wants less government, more freedoms and opportunities for Michigan families and Michigan businesses. On the other side of the coin, Abdul wants government control of everything, nationalized energy, healthcare, housing, all of it.”
